Shaw Interiors

In October our Shaw Interior designers attended a 3-day training event in Mason City, Iowa to learn about a recent addition to our cabinet offerings lineup, Woodharbor. Woodhabor cabinetry is second to none in terms of design, finish and quality and is made right here in Iowa.

Woodhabor was founded in the 1970’s by brothers Curtis, Dennis and Jon Lewerke, who were custom home builders at the time. They found while selecting materials for their homes, they were displeased with the cabinet choices. They collectively decided that they would start producing their own cabinetry to feature in their homes they were building. In 1978 the brothers started what was then known as Fieldstone Cabinetry. A custom cabinet line that developed a reputation for quality and design within the industry. After Masco Corporation acquired Fieldstone Cabinetry, the brothers decided they would form a new company and start producing interior doors.

A New Concept For Interior Millworks

In 1993, Woodharbor Doors & Cabinetry Inc. was introduced. The Lewerke brothers started a wave in the industry by creating a revolutionary new concept for interior millworks, where design, finish, and quality allowed an opportunity for homeowners to use millwork that complimented the design of their cabinets and home throughout. With the Lewerke brothers first love being cabinets, they returned their focus back to the production of cabinets in 2011 when Trustile Door purchased the interior door portion of Woodharbor.
